A Call
All across the world whole communities are being radically transformed by the love and power of God as Christians unite in prayer. Often this is amidst immense pressure and persecution as believers gather to call out to the Lord praying for their villages, towns, cities and nations. And so
- Recognising the prayer that has gone on, and continues, across Cheshire East in many different styles and traditions
- Honouring those who have prayed faithfully for many years
- Believing there is more for us to do and see as we unite in prayer
- Inviting others to join and for God’s people to join together more
Arise Cheshire East is a call to intentional and focussed prayer for our area, here where we have been placed. It is a response to a call to “Gather My People for Prayer” and a vision and passion that in the midst of these most difficult of times we can see lives changed and healed, communities transfigured and above all the name of Jesus glorified in our nation in our time.
What has happened so far?
- Arise prayer gatherings in different towns
- Four New Year’s Prayer Gatherings with political, business, community, charity and church leaders
- Prayer walking the streets of our towns
- Meeting with Cheshire East Councillors for fellowship and prayer
- Prayer Gatherings in Council Headquarters and chambers in Westfields, Crewe and Macclesfield
- A number of weeks of unbroken prayer in different towns

- Prayer Drive encompassing the borders of Cheshire East
- People committing to regular prayer through the Cheshire East Prayer Watch
- Growing connections with those who have a heart for intercession and prayer
- Building links and partnerships with other regional and national prayer movements
